PR: Attorney Frank Walker Obtains Acquittal on Attempted Homicide Charges for Valinda Holland
CHARGES FOR VALINDA HOLLAND
In the Summer of 2014, Multiple local and national news outlets reported that Mrs. Holland attempted to hill her husband by admittedly attempting to shoot him with a gun while he shaved in their bathroom behind a closed door.
As a result of the admission. Mrs. Holland was Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering another Person and Simple Assault. If found guilty on any or all the charges, Mrs. Holland could have faced a prison sentence and stiff fines. Once arrested, Mrs. Holland was jailed at the Allegheny County Jail with a $500,000.00 bond.
The Family of Mrs. Holland retained the law firm of Frank Walker Law following the preliminary hearing and Attorney Walker was able to successfully obtain a bond reduction for the immediate release of Mrs. Holland pending trial.
After testimony in a Non-Jury Trial before a Common Pleas Judge in Allegheny County, Mrs. Holland was acquitted of all Charges and is immediately eligible for an expungement of the charges.
Following the verdict where she was cleared of all charges, Mrs. Holland was grateful for the decision of the Judge and rejoined her husband before quietly leaving the courthouse. Mrs. Holland vowed to, “put this incident behind me and move forward with my life.”
