JONES DAY TO HOST SOLAR LIGHT FUNDRAISER
Locally manufactured product to aid impoverished communities worldwide

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Imagine not having any electricity to power your lights and other electronic items? For 1.3 billion people who have no electricity this is a reality.

Life Transitions Plus, a Pittsburgh-based not-for-profit organization, has developed a solution to this problem.  Green Light Solar Kit is a compact solar powered lighting device with USB ports to support other electronic items.

The GreenLight is an innovative solar kit being manufactured in our facility in Moon Township, and it is providing employment for individuals with disabilities according to Vitoria Livingstone, CEO of Life Transitions Plus. http://ltp-greenlight.com/

Jones Day Law Firm will be hosting a fundraising reception on Thursday, May 21 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at 500 Grant Street, 45th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA, 15219. Admission is free. RSVP to ghenry@ltp-services.com

Pittsburgh recording artist and singer-songwriter, Heather Kropf, will provide music. Jones Day and Life Transitions Plus will provide light refreshments and libations.

“We are pleased to be hosting this important event to make Pittsburghers aware of the critical needs faced by many people who don’t have access to electricity,” said Matthew Johnson of Jones Day Law Firm.

The GreenLight Solar Kit is currently being distributed to families, schools and villages throughout the world where people are living “off the grid”. Individual, organization and corporate sponsors provide the donations so GreenLight can bring natural and clean power to people who have none.

“GreenLight is revolutionizing access for people in impoverished communities who currently are without electricity to provide even the simplest of needs,” said Gerald Driggs of Ground Floor Solutions, a sponsor of the fundraising reception on May 21.

Demonstrations of the GreenLight product line will take place at the fundraising event.
