PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — “If you had told me twenty years ago that I would be living with three cats, I would have told you to go away and get tested.” Those are the words of Jay Speyerer, author, photographer, public speaker, and Renaissance man (although he swears he’s not that old). His latest book, Home Cats, is a chronicle of the daily lives of Scout, Jem and Boo Radley, with a cameo from Jay.
A professional photographer by training Jay — also known as Pittsburgh’s Mark Twain — has captured the daily activities of his feline trio using only his iPhone and his keen eye. Home Cats is filled with whimsical poses and candid shots. With only empty boxes, furniture, newspaper and a piece of clothesline as props, the photographer/artist colors the canvas with an appreciation of a true cat fancier and animal lover.
