PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL SET TO LAUNCH NEW PUNXSUTAWNEY PHILSNER BEER
AT PENN BREWERY ON JANUARY 23RD, 2016

PITTSBURGH, PA
(PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle will escort guest of honor Punxsutawney Phil to the official launch of Punxsutawney Philsner beer in the Pittsburgh area on Saturday, January 23rd 2016 starting at 5 p.m. at Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial St., Pittsburgh, PA.

Donned in their top hats with the Seer of Seers by their side, the Inner Circle will be at Penn to kick off the countdown to Groundhog Day and promote Punxsutawney Philsner. The Legend of Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day will mark its 130th Anniversary this February 2nd in Punxsutawney. What better way to kick off the celebration than with a meet and greet with everyone’s favorite groundhog?

Phil will make his way to Penn on Pittsburgh’s North Side after a stop at Consol Energy Center for the Penquins game. Then he’ll be serving up his smooth, crystal-clear namesake golden lager, brewed exclusively at Penn Brewery. Guests who order Philsner we receive commemorative pint glasses and coins as well.

Where else can you get Punxsutawney Philsner on draft? (Hint: western PA is not the only region in Pennsylvania that will be welcoming Phil and his groundhog grog.) What does Phil look like up close? And where will Phil be traveling next on the beer circuit? Join the Groundhog Club on Saturday and all of your questions will be answered! Don’t forget to bring your camera!
