“LIVE MUSIC THURSDAYS” TO CONTINUE AT WALLACE’S TAPROOM
 Weekly Shows Return By Popular Demand

  

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — “Live Music Thursdays” at Wallace’s TapRoom will continue the popular weekly music offering featuring Pittsburgh musicians.

Wallace’s TapRoom is located in Hotel Indigo® Pittsburgh East Liberty, 123 North Highland Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15206. 412-665-0555. Valet ($6) and street parking is available. “Live Music Thursdays” are from 6 to 8PM and there is NO cover charge.

The June schedule for “Live Music Thursday’s” features a variety of professional female vocalists and musicians from Pittsburgh.

  • Carla Bianco will be the featured performer to kick off the series on Thursday, June 9 (6-8PM). Carla worked with Jellybean Benitez of Jellybean Productions, Madonna’s producer. Her first song, Not This Time, was released on Atlantic Records. In 1996, one of her songs “The lover that you are” was #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Carla played the role of Maureen in “Rent” on Broadway. She originated the role of Wendla in “Spring Awakening”. She also performed in movies including Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Promised Land with Matt Damon. Carla released her debut CD, All This Time in 2012, distributed by a division of SONY Records.  Carla a graduate of NYU, New York University, and a founder and consultant with the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland, PA.
  • Thursday, June 16 (6-8PM) will feature Heather Kropf, This Pittsburgh-based artist has forged a reputation as a talented, dedicated songwriter and performer, producing albums with attention to detail that feature some of the city’s best players. Her training in classical piano shines through as she deftly weaves Americana and jazz influences into pop songs that capture the complexity of modern life and romance. Her latest album Chrysalis has been called a “lush soundscape” by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and been receiving airplay nationally and internationally. Originally from Portland, OR, Heather graduated from Goshen College.
  • Stephanie “Stevee” Wellons will be featured on Thursday, June 23 (6-8PM). Stevee performed with several popular bands in Pittsburgh including Shaker, JumpStreet, The Real Deal and the Crusiers to name a few. Over the years has shared the stage with The Dazz Band, Cameo, Howard Hewitt, The Crystals, the Elmonics, The Marcels, the Vogues and many more. Stevee has performed and recorded many styles and genres of music such as the blues, R&B, country, rock-a-billy, jazz, soul, funk, rock and gospel. She has incorporated those styles into a unique sound of her own. Stevee sings smooth jazz with national recording artist Kevin Howard. A former nine year vocal instructor at the prestigious Afro-American Music Institute, she now coaches privately.

Wallace’s TapRoom features a bar and restaurant with a menu that focuses on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, from coffee and inspired cocktails, to fresh-made breads and artisan cheeses. All served in a stylish space that guests and neighbors can enjoy together.
