Grant Awards Announced: January 2017
The Rivers of Steel Heritage Corp. works to conserve the Industrial Heritage that defines southwestern Pennsylvania. The Heritage Area’s mission is focused on the region’s natural, cultural, educational, recreational and industrial resources as key components for preserving the heritage, sense of place, and economic vibrancy of the region’s citizens and communities.
Non-profit organizations with a tax-exempt status 501(c) 3, municipalities, counties, and educational institutions are all eligible for the Mini-Grant. All projects must be within Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Washington or Westmoreland County and have a significant connection to the mission of Rivers of Steel. Grant requests for a minimum of$2,500 to a maximum of $20,000 will be considered. Applicants must match (at a 1:1 ratio) these grant funds with additional funding and/or pre-approved eligible non-cash (in-kind) services.

Applicants will make live presentations of their project proposals to the Review Committee. Please keep December 14th and 15th open to make your presentation. All presentations will take place at the Bost Building in Homestead, PA.
