Judith Gusky Receives PA Licensure as Mental Health Counselor

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — On December 20, 2010, Judith Gusky was awarded licensure from the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.

 

Gusky has resided in Pittsburgh since 2006. She received her MSEd in clinical mental health counseling from Youngstown State University. Gusky’s counseling practice is located on North Craig Street in the Oakland/Shadyside sections of Pittsburgh. She specializes in grief and loss, including pregnancy loss, and also mental health issues confronting the elderly, the chronically and terminally ill, their families, friends, and caretakers. Her interests extend also to counseling women diagnosed with breast cancer, including breast cancer survivors, and adults who have experienced the loss of a parent as a child. She works also with couples, friends, and families toward improving relationships and finding strategies for better communication. Gusky also offers small group counseling in grief and loss, pregnancy loss, psychotherapy and aging, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). The latter includes light therapy demonstrations and presentations on the causes of and treatments for seasonal depression.
