PR: Local Criminal Defense Attorney Found Guilty

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Criminal Defense Attorney Frank Walker of Frank Walker law continues to lead the way in Community invovlement by donating his time, effort and resources to causes that are important in the Community. This time, Attorney Walker gives back by agreeing to be the lead sponsor of the 20th Annual Historically Black College Tour, sponsored by the local Iota Phi Chapter of his Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.

According to tour director, Michael Harrell, “the tour runs from April 8, 2017 – April 15, 2017 and will cover 13 Historical Black Universities and Colleges where students will meet with College representatives on each campus to discuss the college curriculum, student life, costs and scholarship opportunities. Additiionally, students will have the oppurtunity to visit historical landmarks on the campuses of the Colleges and Universities. To date, the tour has positively impacted the lives of over 900 African American high school students from the Western Pennsylvania Area to achieve greater educational and career aspirations.”

Attorney Walker talks about the importance of giving back to the community through the Omega Psi Phi HBCU College TourA graduate of HBCU West Virginia State College (now University), Attorney Walker continued his education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Education/Leadership Studies at Marshall University and eventually a Juris Doctorate Degree from West Virginia University, but he credits his time at WVSU as the catalyst for assisting the college tour, “I recall seeing high school students visiting our campus and marvelling at the amazing opportunity the students had to actually visit multiple colleges and universities in one trip. It’s an awesome experience for the students and I’m proud to support the efforts of my Fraternity to continue the tradition.”
