Pittsburgh Singer/Songwriter JOHN VENTO set to Unveil Latest Artistic Project to Public

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Pittsburgh Entertainer John Vento, along with Producer/Musician David Granati, Singer/Songwriter Cherylann Hawk, Songwriter Bert Lauble, and acclaimed Pittsburgh Playwright Amy Hartman, have joined forces to collaborate on Vento’s latest artistic endeavor, “Love, Lust & Other Wreckage”. Two years in the making, LL&OW is a musical work that will be the soundtrack for a stage play by the same name.

John Vento is often called a chameleon in the Pittsburgh music scene and Vento views it as a compliment.

After all, the front man for the high-energy, hard-rockin’ the Nied’s Hotel Band, is also known for his introspective, brooding solo recordings.

Rather than a drawback, however, Vento considers such diversity to be among his strengths; and his fans agree. They relish sharing his tumultuous trek toward achieving his artistic vision, which he accomplishes by channeling a blend of eclectic influences through his own, raw emotions.

Playwright Amy Hartman describes Love, Lust and Other Wreckage; “A new experiential performance effort by John Vento works as a theatrical confession. Original musical compositions, intimate storytelling scenes portray a unique tension between one man’s journey into the inside of an almost compulsive lust to create music, an insatiable desire to love and the struggle of climbing from the wreckage ensued by this pursuit. And it’s mostly all true.” The stage play rehearsals are underway for the much anticipated performances at Oakmont’s Oaks Theatre February 14th and 15th, 2019.
