Hillman Performing Arts Series Presents The Platters & Marvelettes In Concert!

Fox Chapel, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Hillman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce that they will host original soul music legends, The Platters and The Marvelettes, in an evening of classic hits the whole family will enjoy!The Platters are famous for their platinum love power-ballads such as “Only You”, “Unchained Melody”, and “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.” The original group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is one of the top 25 best-selling artists of all time. Celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, The Marvelettes will have the audience clapping along with their electrifying performance! Their famous hit “Please Mr. Postman” was the first Motown song to make it to #1 on Billboard and was followed by a string of pop gems including “Beechwood 45789” and “Don’t Mess with Bill”. The Platters and The Marvelettes are contributing acts to the longest running musical show in Las Vegas, where this timeless act calls home.
