PROST! PENN BREWERY ROLLS OUT OKTOBERFEST SEPTEMBER 20TH-22ND AND 27TH-29TH WITH NEW VIP PACKAGES AND NEW MENU

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Penn Brewery’s Oktoberfest beer is lagering in the tanks in anticipation of Pittsburgh’s classic Oktoberfest celebration at Penn’s North Side location the weekends of September 20th-22nd and 27th-29th.

“Despite so many new festivals on the scene in Pittsburgh, focusing on all things from food trucks to pickles, Penn’s Oktoberfest keeps on bringing in huge crowds,” said Sandy Cindrich, Penn’s President and  CEO.  “It’s just a tradition that’s woven into the city’s culture.”

The beer taps will be flowing with classic German styles including Penn Oktoberfest, Penn Dark, Penn Pilsner, and Kaiser Pils, plus some American-style Penn IPA to round out the selections. In the tradition of Munich’s own Oktoberfest, Helles lager will also star, but with one exception. Penn’s Helles-style beer, Penn Gold, holds the 2018 World Beer Cup® gold medal, so Festgoers in Pittsburgh – not Munich – will be enjoying the planet’s best Helles.

The Oktoberfest tent menu will include new items to suit a range of special dietary needs: Currant-Glazed Pork Loin, vegetarian Baked Käsespaetzle, and vegan Butternut Squash “Osso Bucco” in a tomato-vegetable broth.  But Oktoberfest classics will continue as menu mainstays and include a roasted half chicken, bratwurst, kielbasa, and chicken and vegetarian sausages with sauerkraut and hot German potato salad, along with soft Bavarian pretzels with bier cheese. Potato-cheddar pierogies will lend a Pittsburgh flair. (Complete menu and pricing attached below.)
