OCTOBER IS ADHD AWARENESS MONTH! LOCAL AUTHOR TO SPEAK ON HER BOOK “HEY KID WITH A.D.D.” AT MCKEESPORT CARNEGIE LIBRARY
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — On October 24 at 12:00 p.m., Carnegie Library of McKeesport and Mary Rose Bendel, Adult Program and Community Outreach, will host local author Loretta Martine to speak on her book, Hey Kid with A.D.D.!
This children’s book is funny and unconventional, and is the inside scoop written by a teacher with direct experience of what it’s like to have A.D.H.D. It is for ages 7 – 14, and full of fun illustrations that will help younger or reluctant readers breeze through the book.
She will also address the dual diagnosis that often comes with having a disability.
Loretta Martine is a teacher and will speak from both points of view: as a teacher and as an individual with A.D.H.D.
