EPA TO SHOWCASE PITTSBURGH RENEWABLE ENERGY

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Montauk Energy Holdings, LLC (Montauk) will be hosting a tour of its renewable energy facility in Monroeville, PA in partnership with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for their upcoming energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction conference in Pittsburgh.

This event will showcase one of Montauk’s renewable natural gas (RNG) production sites, a major source of low-carbon, sustainable energy from the Pittsburgh area. Attendees will include state elected officials and EPA staff, as well as representatives from local universities and energy interests from throughout the U.S.

One of the largest biogas companies in the U.S., Montauk’s mission is to advance responsible renewable energy projects that increase the sustainability of human and environmental health.

“We remove harmful greenhouse gases from the environment by developing, owning, and operating biogas-based renewable energy facilities.” – James Wallace, VP & General Counsel.

EPA’s Natural Gas STAR & Methane Challenge Workshop will take place from Nov. 4 – Nov. 6 in Pittsburgh.
