DENOVUS EXECUTIVE EDWARD L. TORCHIA RECEIVES NATIONAL HONOR
Washington, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Edward L. Torchia, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Denovus Corporation of Washington, PA, has been named to Collection Advisor Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Collection Professionals for the third time. The list has been published by Collection Advisor since 2005 and Torchia received the award in 2005 and 2006 as well. This latest honor follows Denovus’ company rating of A+ from the Better Business Bureau.
The 2011 selection of industry leaders on the “Most Influential” list is based on professional profiles, recommendations from collection industry experts, and sharing best practices. Torchia’s philosophy regarding regulatory compliance for collection organizations is to create a culture that embraces compliance with collection laws and encourages a demeanor that emphasizes professionalism in all interactions with customers. “This honor recognizes every employee of Denovus, and demonstrates their understanding of their own critical role in working together to assure the highest levels of regulatory compliance and client satisfaction,” said Torchia.
Torchia was one of the founders of Denovus in 1999 and is responsible for overseeing their collection strategies, collection operations, and telecommunication systems as well as sales and business development. Under his leadership and that of the Denovus management team, the company has achieved a history of success in collections as well as an outstanding track record in regulatory compliance and minimizing consumer complaints. “Ed is well deserving of this award. Every day our clients and customers benefit from his knowledge, insight, and emphasis on helping consumers resolve their debt,” said Marcia McFadyen, CEO of Denovus.
In addition, Torchia has also served in the following industry association positions: the Mid-Atlantic Collectors Association Board of Directors; the Pennsylvania Collectors Association President and Board of Directors; and the ACA International national Board of Directors. He recently spoke at the Association of Consumer Vehicle Lessors annual meeting and is recognized as an industry expert. Torchia has over 25 years of experience holding notable positions in collection and recovery at banks including Mellon Bank, the former Integra Financial Corporation of Pennsylvania, and the former Star Bank, now U.S. Bank.
