NATIONAL TOUR SUPPORTING JOB SEEKERS KICKS OFF AT OAKLAND CAREER EDUCATION CENTER
Karen Litzinger, MA, LPC secures speaking engagements across the country in support of award-winning book – and job seekers nationwide

PITTSBURGH, PA, March 2, 2022, (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Karen Litzinger, MA, LPC has added virtual engagements to her national Job Search Tour – kicking off with three local events sponsored by the Carnegie Library in collaboration with the Library’s Job and Career Education Center. Her understanding of the job search emotional roller coaster and how it negatively impacts job seekers is the pillar of her presentations. Excitement about a job lead. Wait. Hope. Rejection. Keeping a positive attitude impacts your energy in the search and your outcomes.

The Strategies for the Job Search Emotional Roller Coaster program will be held on Saturday, March 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Main Library. Litzinger will share mental, emotional, and physical techniques that everyone can use to regain or keep a positive attitude during the job search. Two additional Carnegie Library author events will feature discussion of her award-winning book, Help Wanted: An A to Z Guide to Cope with the Ups and Downs of the Job Search. The book events will be on Saturday, March 5 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm (Main Library) and Saturday, March 19 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm (virtually).

“My focus is getting a message of emotional support and inspiration to as many job seekers as possible,” Litzinger said. She is scheduled to speak to job clubs nationally including Baltimore, Nashville, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. As part of this effort, Litzinger has also been organizing a campaign to donate the book to libraries across the country.

Litzinger’s background as a Certified Career Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor has given her the outlook and mindset to help those who would benefit from emotional support during the job search. With the thousands of books on career change and resume advice on the market, her award-winning book fills the unmet need of helping job seekers keep a positive attitude through the inevitable ups and downs. The roller coaster cycle of excitement, hope and rejection impacts job seekers of all levels and professions, even in a good job market. Her timing could not be better with so much transition in the job market, and the “Big Quit,” or the “Great Resignation” that has been plaguing the United States this year.

She went on to say, “My sensible strategies and inspirational topics are sure to be soaked-in by those just beginning their job search or those struggling with unemployment. I encourage both readers and those who attend my presentations through motivational quotes and affirmations on challenging topics like anxiety and procrastination and inspirational topics like hope and resilience.”
