Girls Night Out Hosted For Underprivileged Young Women In Pittsburgh

(TRTABS)  proudly present a “Girls Night Out:  Promoting Positive Self Image For Young Women in the Pittsburgh Community” Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Philip Pelusi salon in The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, hosted in proud support of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania (FSWPA).

TRWMG & TRTABS will be hosting the event for 15 young women between the ages of 12 and 18 serviced by FSWPA programs, along with their mothers/guardians.  Guests attending the event will be treated to several salon services and gifts provided by local Pittsburgh Based Companies.  Philip Pelusi salon has generously offered their Pittsburgh Mills salon location and staff to provide a hair consultation, wash, cut & style for each of the guests.  While in the salon guests will also receive a mini-facial, paraffin wax hand dip and will have the opportunity to get a keratin bonded colored hair extension.  The management of The Galleria graciously allowed the event to utilize an empty store front to expand the offerings to include; professional makeup consultations by Fluhme Cosmetics and interactive health education stations by Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC.   Dinner and refreshments will be served and guests can have their caricature drawn by Shawnelle Dodds.    Following the completion of their makeovers, guests will have professional portraits taken by Photographer Kristi Ternullo, owner of Kristi Ternullo Photography.

In the spirit of giving back to those less fortunate this holiday season, 4 teenage members of the Girls Canon Mac Youth Soccer Organization have volunteered their time to paint nails at the event.  They were given a budget for supplies and took the responsibility of planning and staffing the nail polish station at the event.
