NSABP Foundation names Priya Rastogi, MD as Chief Executive Officer

NSABP FOUNDATION NAMES PRIYA RASTOGI, MD AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
 
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Today Dr. Norman Wolmark, Chairman of the NSABP Foundation and Contact Principal Investigator of NRG Oncology announced the NSABP Foundation’s Medical Director, Dr. Priya Rastogi, will also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the NSABP effective on July 1, 2022.
 
Dr. Rastogi has had a long and distinguished association with the NSABP, beginning in 2003 after completing her Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh.  Since that time, Dr. Rastogi has served the NSABP in multiple roles of successively increasing responsibility, including Assistant, Associate and Senior Associate Medical Director, becoming the NSABP’s Medical Director in 2020. 
 
Dr. Rastogi also serves as the NSABP Foundation Chair for Medical Affairs and she is a Board Member of NRG Oncology, the NCTN clinical trials group founded in 2014 by the NSABP, RTOG and GOG. 
 
Dr. Rastogi is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and she conducts her clinical practice in medical oncology specializing in the treatment of patients with breast cancer at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
 
In making the announcement, Dr. Wolmark stated, “Dr. Rastogi has been a very talented clinical researcher and a visionary leader within the NSABP for nearly two decades.  She is a highly experienced medical executive who has contributed immensely to the many successes of the NSABP.  Having Dr. Rastogi serve as the NSABP’s CEO/CMO at this time is exactly what is required to advance the vital mission of our institution.  The entire leadership team is delighted that Dr. Rastogi has agreed to serve the organization in this capacity, and we look forward to working with her to achieve the vison we share for the continuing success and future of the NSABP.”
