SOURMASH RECEIVES 4 MORE NOMINATIONS FOR THE JOSIE MUSIC AWARDS
 
LEECHBURG, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Veteran rock act, Sourmash has received 4 nominations for this year’s Josie Music Awards. The 2021 winner for JMA Entertainer of the Year was notified this week of the 2022 nominations. The nomination committee for the JMA’s – the world’s largest independent music awards association – sifted through over 52,000 submissions from across the globe to determine these nominees. The awards ceremony will take place in October at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville TN.
 
Sourmash consists of Western PA residents: Tim Henry (vocalist, guitarist), Nick Farine (guitarist), Matt Knapp (drummer) and Dave Stanoszek (bassist). The act received nominations in the categories Entertainer of the Year; Rock Group of the Year; Rock Single of the Year (Forever In Your Eyes); and Rock Vocalist of the Year (Henry). These are all second time nominations with Sourmash winning the Entertainer of the Year award in 2021.
 
The band is celebrating its twelfth year of existence this month.  Throughout those years, Sourmash has had several releases including the most recent singles, Good Moanin’ Beautiful (January 2022) and Forever In Your Eyes (February 2022). Sourmash music has been heard world-wide in film and television, as well as download/streaming services; and nationally on SiriusXM and AMI & TouchTunes jukeboxes.
 
Sourmash has performed at numerous motorcycle rallies and festivals throughout Northeastern US and Western PA. Upcoming performances include:
