7TH ANNUAL SUMMER FADE AWAY FESTIVAL IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 4TH, 2022
OAKDALE, PA, June 30, 2022 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The 7th annual Summer Fade Away Festival is set to take place on August 4th 2022 at Southpointe Town Center from 4-9 pm. The event will host kids activities, vendors, raffles, and live music with performances by No Bad JuJu and See the Summer. Additionally, food trucks such as Slo Coast Taco Shop, RoadRunner Hot Dawgs and more will be available. There is no cost for admission, and all proceeds will benefit the Autism Caring Center.
Founded by Mr. Scott Snyder, the festival was created to benefit the autism community. “I launched the Fade Away Festival to help other families impacted by autism,” says Snyder. In 2019, the Fade Away hosted over 1,500 attendees and raised over $25,000 to support children with special needs.
The Autism Caring Center was founded in 2017 and has since been serving southwestern Pennsylvania to help provide advocacy, training, resources to families and many other services. The non-profit also partners with local businesses to engage the community, promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
With the support of the Summer Fade Away, the Autism Caring Center has been able to open the doors to its physical location and provide many activities to families at no cost, such as holiday parties, sensory friendly arts and crafts activities, support groups and movie nights. This year, the center also transformed its annual Mother’s Day Brunch to the Mother’s Day Retreat and Conference, which was held at the Sheraton Station Square in April.
“Autism effects 1 in 44 children. Chances are, you know someone with autism. This is a great way to show your support. Volunteer, donate or attend. The support is needed,” says Kelly Cain, director of the Autism Caring Center.
Applications for volunteers, vendors, and other information can be found on the Festival website at www.summerfadeaway.com.
The Autism Caring Center’s mission is “to enhance the lives of individuals and families by working diligently to provide support, resources, advocacy and offer training to community businesses to raise awareness and acceptance.”
