New Restaurant, Christian James, Launches at Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The first ever experiential restaurant concept has officially entered the Pittsburgh Market, Christian James. Inspired by a fictional character, Christian James brings the flavors of his travels to Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton.  This concept is a new venture brought to you from the creative minds of Kimberley Ashlee and Joshua Haugh.

 

Throughout his travels, Christian James is inspired by food and some of his favorite dishes. With each and every homecoming, those favorites will inspire a rotating menu for Pittsburghers and visitors alike. These dishes will celebrate all cultures and the unique differences in taste many experience throughout their trips abroad. Guests will see techniques of the elements through a hardwood-fired grill, sous-vide, and slow cooking. The wine and cocktail program both also contribute to a highly curated experience, drawing from boutique-international producers and flavors.

 

The restaurant layout will pull elements from the Gothic-revival style building. The furnishings emulate Christian James’ signature attire–his leather boots and blue jeans–invite you to be comfortable and polished, as you’re warmly welcomed to your table. 

 

Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh retained Specialty Group to find a culinary concept for their restaurant space that would provide the absolute best dining experience for hotel guests and locals alike.  Specialty Group’s Vice President, Sidney Sokoloff, said “Kim and Josh fit the criteria perfectly and this was a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents in partnership with Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh. The grand opening will be on Thursday, January 26. Christian James will be open Monday through Sunday serving breakfast from 7:00am – 11:00am, lunch from 11:00am – 2:00pm and dinner from 4:00pm – 11:00pm.
