Pittsburgh Film Office Announces 2023 Annual Fundraising Gala

PITTSBURGH, PA, Jan 30, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Pittsburgh Film Office will host its annual fundraising gala, Lights! Glamour! Action ® sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield on Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at The Pennsylvanian’s historic Grand Hall in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Film Office celebrates the success of the local film industry and generating more revenue and jobs for local crew and vendors in the Pittsburgh region.
 
Lights! Glamour! Action! ® sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield returns this year to an in-person event, rolling out the red carpet in celebration of the economic impact of the entertainment industry in southwestern Pennsylvania. The fundraising gala will entertain attendees with live musical acts, interactive experiences and dancing while enjoying decadent foods and specialty cocktails throughout the evening. The fundraising gala will include a Silent Auction to benefit the Pittsburgh Film Office. Auction items are being accepted and will be announced leading up to the event. All proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Film Office. Ticket sales begin Tuesday, February 1st.

ABOUT THE PITTSBURGH FILM OFFICE
 
The Pittsburgh Film Office (PFO) www.pghfilm.org is a non-profit economic development agency dedicated to the mission of marketing the southwestern Pennsylvania region to the film industry. The PFO works with film industry projects, coordinating government offices and businesses in support of productions throughout Allegheny County and the designated 10-county region. Since 1990, the PFO has assisted over 200 feature film and television productions and generated an economic impact of more than $2 billion into the region. For every $1 invested in the PFO, the organization generates more than $218 in new spending. The southwestern Pennsylvania region has benefited from tremendous growth in the entertainment industry and ancillary fields since the establishment of the Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit Program in 2007, with 129 productions making use of the program.
