Survival Ready Grand Opening – A New Type of Survivalist Store Opens in Ambridge

AMBRIDGE, PA, May 8, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Survival Ready, made for the survivalist in you, is making 643 Merchant Street, Ambridge, PA, their new home.  While the store has been operating for several months, Survival Ready will be holding its official grand opening the entire weekend of May 20-21, Friday (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.), at 643 Merchant St., Ambridge, PA, 15003, located in Beaver County.

 

The grand opening will feature giveaways, special discounts, and more! Survival Ready is also a platinum sponsor of the first-ever Turtle Race event happening in Ambridge on May 21st.

 

Survival Ready, owned by a group of Pittsburgh locals, began as an idea to bring education, supplies, and resources for survival to the market so we can prepare everyone in our local communities for anything. In September 2021, the owners began discussing a retail store, and in October, they got the conversation rolling about a store that could provide much more than your basic camping and firearms store.

 

“After researching several spaces and having discussions with city officials, the City of Ambridge was receptive and supportive to the idea of opening our Survival Ready store in their city,” said co-owner Tim Kane. “The community has been supportive and excited to have a new type of store on the block.”  Survival Ready’s mission is “to inspire conscious preparedness through trusted products and services, classes, and insight from industry experts focused on keeping you safe in the face of uncontrollable circumstances.” “We’re way more than a firearm and accessories store. Our goal is to prepare our local communities no matter the situation,” added Shane Potter, store manager. “Our understanding of the importance of quality products and materials trickles down as guidance and direction from the top survivalists to the recreationists and ever-growing and curious newcomers.”

 

The store sells a range of products designed to help anyone prepare and survive in emergency situations creating a one-stop shop where customers can find all the products they need to prepare for unexpected situations. From first aid kits and water purification systems to fire starters and long-term food storage, the store has everything customers need to stay safe and secure in difficult circumstances.

 

For gun enthusiasts, Survival Ready also sells new and used handguns, rifles and shotguns, ammunition, safety glasses, ear protection, cleaning supplies, carrying cases, shooting targets, and much more. “I hope the community sees our value as a friendly, fun, and educational store to visit,” said Tim Kane. “We are providing the necessary knowledge and expertise in not only gun safety but overall general preparedness to keep you, your families, and our community ready for anything.” Survival Ready will even offer a basic handgun safety seminar later this summer. “The class will be geared toward brand new shooters and will demonstrate safe handling, sight picture, sight alignment, and the process to purchase a firearm,” added Tim Kane.

 

The store’s founders hope their focus on emergency preparedness will help raise awareness about the importance of being ready for unexpected situations. “We want to create a unique and welcoming shopping experience,” said the co-founder Pat Hanavan. “By offering a range of high-quality products and resources, we hope to make it easier for everyone to be prepared for emergencies.”
