2ND ANNUAL COMMUNITY LIVER ALLIANCE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

PITTSBURGH, PA, June 13, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Community Liver Alliance (CLA) announces its second annual awareness campaign, DeLIVERing Hope. This campaign provides an opportunity for the public to receive a fresh, vibrant bouquet of sunflowers for a $20 donation. All donations will support the mission of the CLA to brighten the future of the liver community through disease awareness, education, advocacy, and research.

“Our goal is to sell 2,000 bouquets and those funds will go toward our mission of calling attention to the prevalence of liver disease and the disparities that exist among vulnerable populations,” said CLA’s founder and CEO, Suzanna Masartis. “This campaign is especially important to us this year as the CLA is celebrating our 10-year anniversary this fall.”

“Schwirian Farms in Monongahela is our grower this year. They’ve planted 10,000 stems just for our campaign and we are very excited about creating a lasting partnership with them,” campaign manager Kelli Komondor stated. “They’re local, which is very important to us.”

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, the Community Liver Alliance has grown to have a national presence while still holding true to a mission to invest in local communities and give voice to patients and providers. The CLA is dedicated to supporting the community through liver disease awareness, prevention, education, advocacy, and research. Supported by a network of patients, caregivers, health care professionals and community leaders, CLA develops and runs educational workshops, coordinates support groups, facilities linkage to medical care and provides education to health care professionals, patients, and caregivers.

Sunflower sales run through Friday, July 28 on the CLA’s website. The organization has over a dozen locations for pick up and same-day purchases across the region, and stretching to Westmoreland County, Butler, and Ligonier. A newly added benefit is a delivery option to 38 zip codes in the Pittsburgh region. For a complete listing of delivery availability and locations for preorder pick up and same-day purchases, visit the CLA’s website at https://communityliveralliance.org/event/delivering-hope-2023/
