PENN BREWERY CELEBRATES OKTOBERFEST THE WEEKENDS OF SEPTEMBER 15-17 AND 22-24!
 
 
PITTSBURGH, PA, August 24, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Penn Brewery is pleased to announce the return of our annual fall tradition— Penn Brewery’s Oktoberfest celebration! Beer. Food. Music. Fun. Owner Stefan Nitsch is pleased to announce that this year’s fest is slated for the weekends of September 15-17 and 22-24.
 
“I am tremendously excited to put on my Lederhosen and welcome you personally to Oktoberfest in my second year as Penn’s new owner,” said Nitsch.  “I’ve been attending for years as a guest and love all of the beer, food, music and fun that make this an annual ‘must do’ event in Pittsburgh.”
 
This year’s Oktoberfest tent menu will feature German staples including a variety of wursts – bratwurst, kielbasa, and vegetarian sausages – along with roasted half chickens, served with sides of sauerkraut and hot German potato salad. Soft Bavarian pretzels, potato-cheese pierogi, and German Chocolate Cake round out the outdoor menu (Complete menu attached below.)
 
Penn Oktoberfest has no cover charge, but optional VIP packages are available for an additional fee.  The five package options, which guests must purchase in advance on Penn’s website, include the following:
 
Band VIP – $70
Private seating area directly in front of bands
Plastic liter stein 
2 stein fills with your choice of beer
Oktoberfest Bucks – $30 to spend toward food of your choice at the food tent
 
City View VIP – $70
Private seating area with high top tables and bar stools overlooking the city

2 stein fills with your choice of beer
Oktoberfest Bucks – $30 toward food of your choice at the food tent
 
Terrace VIP – $90
Private tented seating area

Guests may also order an optional add-on appetizer platter to any VIP package.
 
Butcher board appetizer platters include meats, cheeses, vegetables, and bread served at your table. Pricing is $40 for a small platter, $60 for a large platter.
 
This year’s Oktoberfest entertainment lineup includes Kevin Solecki, North Coast Mix, Mon Valley Push, The PolkaMeister Trio, the Tom Allan Duo, and Kosmix.  (A detailed entertainment schedule is included below.) Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered on Sundays.
 
Admission is always free. Hours for Penn’s Oktoberfest are 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 9:00 PM on Sundays.
