NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2024 SWAG AWARDS
PITTSBURGH, PA, September 1, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Vitamin C Healing is excited to announce the 4th annual SWAG (Social Worker Appreciation of Greatness) Awards call for nominations are open. Eligible candidates for the SWAG Awards must possess a BSW, MSW or DSW, have at least 3 years of experience as a social worker, and reside within a 20-mile radius of the Pittsburgh region. The SWAG Awards are a project of Vitamin C Healing, a professional organization dedicated to serving those in the helping professions suffering from compassion fatigue and burnout. The awards were created specifically to honor historical African American social workers both during Black History Month and local social workers during National Social Work Month in March.
The mission of the SWAG Awards is to honor the “heart work” of local social work heroes that is oftentimes unappreciated and unrecognized. We invite you to nominate a social worker who exemplifies servant leadership through their commitment to promoting advocacy, social justice, generational healing, and building stronger communities.
Nominations must be received by October 2, 2023.
