Reverend Trini L. Massie Set to Celebrate 30 Years of Music Ministry
Since 2003, he has faithfully served his local church, Mount Ararat Baptist Church, in Pittsburgh, PA, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. William H. Curtis, while also consulting for churches nationwide and guiding music ministries to greater heights. In 2007, Massie founded 4 The Caz of Christ, an ensemble of gifted singers from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., united by a vision to transform lives through gospel music. In 2010, Trini took on the role of head choir director for the Gospel Connection, an international convention that aimed to unite diverse cultures through a shared love of gospel music. This prestigious role has taken him across Italy, where he has ministered in cities like Rome, Naples, and Florence and featured him on Italy’s national television stations. His ministry has also extended to Europe, Asia, South America, the Caribbean, and even the United States Air Force, proving that his reach knows no bounds. The Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) appointed Trini as the National Minister of Music for the Contemporary Adult Department in 2014, and more recently, the GMWA Mass Choir.
Trini’s excellence in ministry has not gone unnoticed. His achievements are numerous, ranging from the 2003-2004 AACTA Onyx Award for Musical Direction to multiple victories in gospel competitions like “How Sweet the Sound.” In 2018, his alma mater, Uniontown Area High School, inducted him into its Academics, Arts, and Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing his lasting contributions.
