The S.W.A.G. Awards were created to honor the “heart work” of social workers who tirelessly serve individuals, families, and communities. Often underpaid and undervalued, these professionals play a critical role in fostering hope, healing, and resilience. “Social workers don’t do this work for recognition, but the disparities they face can’t be ignored. This event is our way of saying, ‘We see you, and we value you,’” said Sharise Nance, founder of the S.W.A.G. Awards and lifelong advocate for social workers.
