Kelli A. Komondor, a founding member, transitions into the Executive Director position, bringing a wealth of experience in visibility strategy, leadership, and advocacy. Alongside Komondor, newly appointed board member Renee DeMichiei Farrow will bring decades of board expertise and fresh perspectives to guide BWP’s mission into the future. The group is also announcing the addition of Sunnie Fenk, described as a born leader and passionate champion of women, to the membership and mentoring committee.
“This leadership evolution is a monumental step forward for the Brave Women Project,” said Holly Joy McIlwain, founder of BWP. “The addition of our first Executive Director and expanding our board will amplify our reach and create even greater opportunities for personal and professional development. Our mission is to solidify that we are not a group you do networking with; we are a community you do life with.”
The new leadership team will focus on expanding the Brave Women Project’s programs and outreach, including its monthly Come As You Are (CAYA) virtual support sessions, members-only Diamond Dinners, and the new Bravery In Business Learning Cohort. In addition, they aim to increase access to resources for women in the areas of relationships, professional development, wellness, and community impact.
BWP is proud to continue working with its dedicated board members, who bring diverse expertise and unwavering commitment to the organization. The 2025 board includes Holly Joy McIlwain, Founder; Morgan Leigh Null, Esq., Co-Founder and Board Chair; Amy Hooper Hanna, Kayla M. Komondor, PhD, Nicole Lerda, and Mary Richter.
