MAD MEX® CELEBRATES MARGARITA WEEK – FEBRUARY 17-23

PITTSBURGH, PA, Feb 17, 2025 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Mad Mex is celebrating National Margarita Day (February 22) with a week-long event benefiting Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

National Margarita Day started around 2008 as one of those made up holidays that draws attention to a particular food or drink just for one day…but Mad Mex has been celebrating Margarita Day every day since they opened over 30 years ago!

Mad Mex is extending the party all week long with three event-exclusive margaritas. For every featured margarita sold, Mad Mex will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia (and will match donations to grant a full wish). Enjoy a Grapefruit Basil, Blood Orange  or Pomegranate Margarita, and help grant a child’s wish–that’s the magic of margaritas!

To add to the celebrations, all 22oz Big Azz Margaritas will be $9 on February 22, National Margarita Day.

About Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia
Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia grants wishes in 57 counties in western, central and northeastern Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The chapter is headquartered in Pittsburgh and has seven regional offices in Charleston and Morgantown, WV, Erie, Pottsville, Punxsutawney, Scranton and York, PA.

A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness. This one belief guides Make-A-Wish in everything they do and inspires the organization to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. The founding principal of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wish of every eligible child.

Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
