PITTSBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL HOSTS FUNDRAISER AT WIGLE WHISKEY

Pittsburgh, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) —  Pittsburgh Fringe Festival holds a fundraiser to support its May festival and year-round operation at the Strip District’s Wigle Whiskey, Pittsburgh’s very own distillery, on Monday, February 10th from 6 to 8 p.m.  For $10, guests enjoy appetizers, fun activities, conversations with Fringe staff and fans, music, and a silent auction, allowing them to win tickets to productions by local performing artists and more.  A cash bar is also available.  Wigle Whiskey donates 12% of its drink and merchandise sales to Pittsburgh Fringe Festival.  Guests can wear red or black to show their support (or lack thereof) to Valentine’s Day.  Space is limited for this fundraiser so partygoers are encouraged to come early!  For more information about the history of Wigle Whiskey, interested parties should check out www.wiglewhiskey.com.

About Wigle Whiskey

Wigle is named for a good-natured man who was sentenced to hang for his unsinkable love of whiskey. In 1794, Phillip Wigle defended his right to distill in a tussle with a tax collector. He unwittingly helped spark the Whiskey Rebellion, which pitted Pennsylvania distillers against George Washington’s troops.
Wigle Whiskey is working to restore a Pennsylvania tradition championed by these rebellious distillers. We make spirits much the same way Wigle and his friends did when Pittsburgh was the epicenter of American Whiskey – with a copper pot and local ingredients.
