MINORITY REAL ESTATE INVESTOR PURCHASING WITH PURPOSE
IN HER PENN HILLS COMMUNITY

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Having long been active in the Penn Hills community as a Real Estate Investor, acquiring several residential properties starting in 2001, Brooke Hairston decided to take it to the next level—commercial real estate!

In her quest for real estate, Brooke noted that she first establishes the purpose and/or need for each of her properties before she begins the hunt. As for the property currently housing the newly opened business called The Postal Suite, located in the heart of Penn Hills at 12121 Frankstown Road, “I’ve had my eyes on this property for several years, but wasn’t sure I wanted to take on the massive amount of rehab required to make it marketable,” she states while confirming it was well worth the effort.

“Knowing how I look to invest in property with a purpose, my family and friends constantly come to me with ideas of what they think is needed in the community.” Brooke was approached several years back by a few folks in her inner circle who had suggested that she open a company that would offer business services. She really was not interested at the time as the area already had the UPS Store, which offered similar services. Aside from that, Brooke was focused on creating a family-themed gathering spot and had already found what she thought would be the perfect venue. However, local zoning and coding did not allow for that particular project to be implemented. This, coupled with the fact that the UPS Store that once existed in Penn Hills had since closed shop, caused Brooke to shift her focus.

Always a woman with a backup plan, Brooke immediately put plan B into action. She set out to establish a business that would add variety to the current business landscape of Penn Hills by bringing back a type of establishment (shipping/business center) into the community that was not only absent from the current lineup but would fill a service void; thus, The Postal Suite was born.

In setting up The Postal Suite, Brooke was very strategic in the “suite” of services that would be offered. “We cannot call ourselves a community business services center if we do not focus on what is needed in our community. They are our customer base.” So she made certain that The Postal Suite would offer a lineup of business-related services conveniently located under one roof, which includes everything from shipping, packing, faxing, copies, and computer rental stations to binding, laminating, mailbox rental, shredding, office supplies, passport photos, gift center, and more.

Brooke has learned to balance her business endeavors while working in the corporate world for over 30 years. However, she noted that her mission to bring new and innovative business ventures to the local community will continue as long as the need exists.

The Postal Suite is located at 12121 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. For additional information on The Postal Suite, visit their website at www.thepostalsuite.com. Or you can contact them by phone at (412) 793 3330.

  1. Great store – as well as shipping, faxing etc, the store has great gifts.
