Hefren-Tillotson Announces Advisor Appointment

 

Pittsburgh, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. is pleased to announce that Alphonse S. Weber has joined the firm as a Vice President.

“We’re excited about welcoming Al to the Hefren-Tillotson organization,” says Kim Fleming, President of Hefren-Tillotson.  “He brings a wealth of investment expertise to our firm and will be a tremendous addition to our team.”

Mr. Weber joins a team of investment and financial planning professionals dedicated to helping individuals become and remain financially independent.  He will work closely with individual clients, helping them shape and realize their financial goals.  Through the development of a MASTERPLAN, Hefren-Tillotson’s exclusive coordinated approach to achieving personal financial goals, he will consolidate individual client’s legal, insurance, investment and tax objectives under one umbrella.

Prior to joining Hefren-Tillotson, Mr. Weber worked with Cookson, Peirce & Co., Inc. as a Vice President and Shareholder.  He was responsible for the management of private client relationships with emphasis on understanding the client’s goals and objectives, risk tolerance, tax situation, and unique needs.

Prior to joining Cookson Peirce in 1997, Al had twenty plus years of experience in technical sales and marketing.  He started his industrial career as a Marketing representative with Westinghouse and continued as an Account Manager with ASEA/ABB and later ALSTOM.

Al is a 1976 graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and continues to further his education by attending estate and financial planning seminars. He is a noted speaker on the Psychology of Investing and a guest lecturer at Pennsylvania State University, New Kensington.

Al is Chairman of the City of Lower Burrell Civil Service Commission and Vice President of the Advisory board of Pennsylvania State University, New Kensington. He is also a past board representative and current member of the Burrell Area Rotary Club and has served on the Parent Advisory Committee of the Burrell School District.
