LOCAL PUBLISHER AND AUTHOR TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL WRITERS CONFERENCE
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Chief Executive Officer of Pittsburgh based Bailey Publishing House, Tara Bailey is one of many literary agents, editors and authors from across the US participating in the March 24, 2018 Pittsburgh Writing Workshop held at the Cambria Hotel & Suites, 1320 Centre Avenue.
The full-day “How to Get Published” writing event, is designed to provide participants the opportunity to receive intense instruction over the course of the day, to pitch to literary agents and editors and to get questions answered. “If you are in the mist of or have been contemplating to write a book, this workshop is perfect for you,” said Bailey pointing out that literary agents will be onsite to give feedback and take pitches from writers. Baileys Publishing House is also looking for new authors.
In addition to Bailey Publishing House other representatives include, Andrea Somberg; Harvey Klinger Inc., Uwe Stender; Triada US Literary, Jim Hart; Hartline Literary, Ella Marie Shupe; Belcastro Agency and Bethany Morehead; Hartline Literary. Brian A. Klems, former online editor of WritersDigest.com. will serve as the key presenter/instructor. The independent event is organized by coordinator Jessica Bell of Writing Day Workshops. Bell classifies herself as a 30-something Australian contemporary fiction author, award-winning poet, singer, songwriter and guitarist. She is the publisher of Vine Leaves Press and makes a living as a book cover designer for indie authors, and an editor/writer for English Language Teaching publishers worldwide, such as Pearson Education, HarperCollins, Macmillan Education, Education First and Cengage Learning.
Established in 2016, Bailey Publishing House is currently working with seven authors based between Pittsburgh,Philadelphia, Maryland and Virginia. Their writing collection consists of romance/erotic, Sci-fi, thriller, suspense, drama, mysteries and poetry. They are seeking children’s books written by children and short stories.
Bailey, a Pennsylvania State University graduate is a ghostwriter and has co-created two books, Dracula from the West Side and Number 7. She also is the author of a dark comedy short story series, Deadbeat. She has served as feature speaker at the Celebration of Reading and Pittsburgh’s Write On: Black Book Expo.
Excited to be a part of the event filled day and a member of the elaborate literary team, Bailey said she and her partner Darcia Reed strive to provide the best professional consulting, editing, and publishing services to their authors. “We believe that every inspiring author should have an opportunity to have their words read and our goal is to make that possible.”
