GLOBAL CABARET AND MASTERMIND SET TO WOW PITTSBURGH
WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR EDUCATION
The Global Sisterhood Welcomes the World to Pittsburgh with its Show-Stopping Event

PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The 2nd Global Sisterhood Global Gala and Mastermind will gather over 300 prominent business leaders, philanthropists, best-selling authors, local celebrities, and inspiring women from around the world who support the Global Sisterhood’s mission of helping women and children fulfill their dreams. Many of the distinguished Gala and Mastermind guests were featured in The Global Sisterhood President Dr. Shellie Hipsky’s International best-selling trilogy, Common Threads, based on the top 100 women interviewed on her Empowering Women Radio show. The Mastermind and red carpet Global Gala will bring the power to enact positive change to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on April 14, 2018.

Local celebrities and nationally known powerhouse women will take the stage at the Mastermind and Gala. Hipsky, who is hosting the Gala, is a best-selling author, editor-in-chief of Pittsburgh-based Inspiring Lives Magazine, and founder of The Global Sisterhood. Kym Gable, an Emmy Award-winning media personality and director of Inspired Women Pittsburgh, South, will co-MC the evening’s festivities. Darieth Chisolm and Eileen Grubba will speak and lead breakout sessions at the Mastermind. Chisolm is a TV host, author, speaker, coach, activist, and filmmaker. She is spearheading the 50 Shades of Silence movement “giving voice and dignity to victims of cyber harassment and online crimes.” Grubba was paralyzed at 4 years old but regained her mobility and has been a Hollywood actress for over 25 years on hit shows such as Nip Tuck and CSI, as well as movies.

The Global Sisterhood 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charity supports women’s and children’s dreams so they can thrive, and its major fundraiser for the year promises to be a game-changer for Zephaniah Free Education School in Pakistan. Proceeds from the weekend events will benefit the school, which provides girls with access to an education at the same level that their male counterparts receive. In Pakistan, they are typically denied this access.

Collaboration and inspiration among major players in the business and philanthropic worlds will happen at the Mastermind and Breakout sessions from 9:00 AM till 3:30 PM on April 14th. At the daytime sessions, 100 women from around the world will develop plans of action to impact communities worldwide, uplifting women and enabling them to support themselves and reach their goals. Hollywood producer Betsy Chasse will also screen her woman’s documentary, The Empty Womb, during the Mastermind. An evening networking event on the 13th and a send-off brunch on the 15th will also be provided for Mastermind attendees.

Pittsburgh’s premier international gala, the Global Gala will begin at 6:30 PM on the 14th with an evening of jaw-dropping entertainment—a Cultural Cabaret—from international singers, dancers, and more, as well as food from around the globe and dancing. Black tie is optional; national dress is encouraged. Tickets for the Gala or the entire weekend can be purchased online.

An awards ceremony to follow the performances will honor women who have achieved in their businesses or philanthropic endeavors while supporting and lifting up other women. Nominations are open now through March 30th.

The Global Gala and Mastermind are sponsored by Inspiring Lives Magazine, a quarterly Pittsburgh-based publication available nationally at Barnes and Noble bookstores, as well as online. Inspiring Lives Magazine features stories of triumph, education, and inspiration in business, living, health and wellness, culture, fashion, and food and travel. Opulent photography graces the pages alongside heart-centered articles appealing to busy women because “Inspiration is just a story away!”
