BRAVE WOMEN PROJECT LAUNCHES BRIDGES TO BRAVERY™, A YEAR-LONG LEADERSHIP AND TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVE FOR PROFESSIONAL WOMEN 50 AND BEYOND
LeMont Pittsburgh to serve as host venue for 10-session 2027 experience; participant enrollment and sponsorship opportunities now available
PITTSBURGH, PA, October 3, 2026 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Brave Women Project® (BWP) is launching Bridges to Bravery™, a new year-long leadership development and personal transformation initiative created specifically for women 50 and beyond who are asking one important question: What’s next?
Beginning in January 2027, participants will gather for 10 in-person sessions at LeMont Pittsburgh, which will serve as the host venue for the inaugural Bridges to Bravery experience.
Created by Brave Women Project in collaboration with HERera®, Bridges to Bravery is designed for women navigating the transitions, opportunities, and questions that often emerge in the second half of life. Topics will include career transitions, retirement and identity, entrepreneurship after 50, ageism and visibility, caregiving, grief and isolation, reinvention, belonging, purpose, and leadership.
“This is not about telling women what their next chapter should look like,” said Kelli Komondor, Executive Director of Brave Women Project. “It is about creating the space, resources, relationships, and support that allow women to determine that for themselves. Women 50 and beyond have tremendous experience, wisdom, talent, and leadership Bridges to Bravery gives them an intentional place to explore what they want to do with it.”
The 2027 experience will include 10 facilitated sessions, a Personal Bridge Profile and journal, leadership and visibility support, skill-building, reinvention work, and a peer community designed to foster meaningful connection throughout the year.
LeMont Pittsburgh will serve as the home of Bridges to Bravery throughout 2027, providing a consistent gathering place for participants as they move through the year-long journey.
“We wanted Bridges to feel different from the moment a woman walks into the room,” Komondor said. “LeMont gives us a beautiful, established Pittsburgh setting where these women can gather month after month, build trust, have important conversations, and create relationships that extend well beyond a single program.”
A Collaboration Built Around Women’s Leadership
Bridges to Bravery brings together the community-building mission of Brave Women Project with the conscious leadership work of HERera, founded by Angela Patete.
HERera has made an investment as the inaugural Founding Vision Partner of Bridges to Bravery, helping bring the initiative from concept to reality.
“Bridges to Bravery was created because we believe this season of life is an invitation,” said Angela Patete, Founder & Chief Embodiment Officer, HERera. “Every woman carries a lifetime of wisdom, resilience, and untapped possibility. Sometimes what she needs most is the space, the support, and the community to reconnect with herself and discover what’s possible next. That’s the journey we’re honored to create together with Brave Women Project.”
Together, the organizations are creating an experience centered on confidence, courage, conscious leadership, personal growth, and meaningful community.
Bridges to Bravery reflects Brave Women Project’s five Es for Life: Educate, Empower, Encourage, Engage, and Evolve, while incorporating HERera’s conscious leadership framework throughout the experience.
Enrollment Remains Open for the 2027 Cohort
A limited number of participant openings remain for the inaugural 2027 Bridges to Bravery cohort. The experience begins with a complimentary Personal Bridge Assessment, an online assessment designed to help participants begin identifying where they are today and the bridge that may be ahead of them. Those interested can complete the assessment here: https://www.bwp.life/bridges-to-bravery.
Women who complete the assessment are invited to attend the Bridges to Bravery Dinner on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at LeMont Pittsburgh. The evening will include an information session, three-course dinner, valet parking, cash bar, and a Personal Bridge Profile.
The dinner investment is $100 and will be credited toward enrollment in the full Bridges to Bravery experience.
The complete 2027 program investment is $2,200, which includes the year-long Bridges experience, admission to the 2026 BWP Pillar Awards Dayla in November, and a 2027 Brave Women Project membership. Payment options are available.
2027 Sponsorship Opportunities Available
Brave Women Project is also inviting businesses, foundations, and community leaders to help build the inaugural Bridges to Bravery experience through 2027 sponsorship and underwriting opportunities.
Opportunities range from supporting individual sessions to investing in the complete year-long journey. Sponsors receive meaningful recognition while helping BWP provide programming, resources, facilitation, and participant support throughout the year.
“We are intentionally looking for sponsors who see the value in investing in women at this stage of their lives,” Komondor said. “These women are not finished. Many are running businesses, changing careers, stepping into leadership, redefining retirement, becoming caregivers, rediscovering themselves, or deciding how they want to use everything they have learned to make an impact. Support has a ripple effect throughout our workplaces, families, and communities.”
Organizations interested in becoming a 2027 Bridges to Bravery sponsor are encouraged to contact Brave Women Project for available opportunities.
