ANDY HANNAH AT THE AGENTIC ROAD SHOW

Blue Street Data CEO and co-founder Andy Hannah to explain why bad external data is poisoning AI at Pittsburgh’s first Agentic Road Show.

Hannah’s 20-minute Innovation Sprint on Oct. 22 at Pitt looks at why data bought from outside providers is often trusted without being checked, and how to vet it before it reaches AI.

PITTSBURGH, PA, October 20, 2026 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Andy Hannah, CEO and co-founder of Blue Street Data (BSD) and adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh, will speak at the inaugural Agentic Road Show on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at the University of Pittsburgh. His Innovation Sprint, “Venom in the Pipeline: Why Bad External Data is Poisoning Your AI,” begins at 11:30 a.m. in the O’Hara Ballroom of the O’Hara Student Center.

The Agentic Road Show is a new national seminar series on agentic AI for enterprise leaders, researchers and practitioners. Pittsburgh is its first stop, hosted by Pitt’s Hub for AI and Data Science Leadership (HAIL). Chicago, Austin, Boston and San Francisco are listed as coming soon.

Hannah’s talk looks at a growing risk: as companies hand more work to AI agents, they rely more on data that may be wrong, outdated or unverified. Much of the data feeding AI comes from outside providers, and once it’s inside a company it tends to be trusted without anyone checking where it came from or how often it’s updated. When an AI agent acts on that data by itself, there may be no one in between to catch a problem.

In his session, Hannah will cover:

  • Why better AI models won’t fix problems that start in the data

  • Why data from outside providers is trusted by default, and why surface-level checks aren’t enough

  • How Blue Street Data helps companies see the quality and source of outside data before they buy it and before their AI relies on it

“AI models keep improving, and so do the people using them. Most datasets, however, don’t. They are only as good as the day they were built. Too often no one measures their fit for use or provenance, especially when the data comes from outside providers. Even great AI models die on bad data, so it’s essential to know where your data came from and how strong it is,” said Andy Hannah, CEO and co-founder of Blue Street Data.
