COCA CAFÉ FOR SALE
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Coca Café has been a local staple in Lawrenceville for 18 years, before it even became the infamous “Lawrenceville” as we all know it today. Starting as a café with coffee and brunch they have expanded their menu options and added unique cocktails on their Mary’s and Mosa’s Menu to go with “the best brunch in town”.
Coca Café is a unique space run by business partners Melanie Ritchey and Carrie Rudolph. These women have put their heart and soul into this restaurant to make it one of the most popular brunch destinations in Pittsburgh. Their belief has always been the importance of sourcing locally for their produce and you certainly taste it in the quality of their cooking.
With the unfortunate situation and position this pandemic has created for many restaurants, Melanie and Carrie feel the time to be right to pursue a different path. “We called Specialty Group, after trusting them with the purchase of our liquor license in 2016. They have been around longer than we have in the industry and we have trust and confidence in their ability to help us during this transition and make a successful exit”.
This boutique space on Lawrenceville’s bustling Butler Street is around 1300 square feet, seats approximately 50 guests with a small outdoor seating area, and boasts a well-equipped kitchen, coffee bar, and spacious basement for lots of storage. The sale includes the furniture, fixtures, equipment, and liquor license. They will consider reasonable offers on the business. Sidney Sokoloff, Vice President of Specialty Group believes, “Coca Café has been my top Sunday brunch spot for years. I believe that this space has a lot of potential to be adaptable for a next generation concept that will offer breakfast through dinner service and fully take advantage of the nightlife scene in Lawrenceville. Think of it as brunch by day, and cocktails by night”.
