COMMUNITY LIVER ALLIANCE HONORS LOCAL LIVER HEALTH ADVOCATES
 
 
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Community Liver Alliance’s 7th Annual “You Make a Difference” Awards event will take place virtually on Thursday, February 25, 2021 and be broadcast live from The Works Theatre at the Carnegie Science Center at 4:00 p.m.
 
The Community Liver Alliance is proud to recognize those who have demonstrated the highest levels of dedication and commitment, by devoting their time, talents, and treasures to support not only the Community Liver Alliance, but in all areas within the liver community in a meaningful way through advocacy, education, fundraising, and by forging paths of leadership for others to follow in the fight against liver diseases.

The 2021 You Make A Difference Awardees include:

  • Steven Rechtorik, Executive Chef – Steel Chef Challenge Culinary Gala Leader
The 2021 Board Spotlight Award will be presented to:
  • Bruno Mastroianni, CIO and Susan Stuart, President and CEO – Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE)
 
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA and offices in San Diego, CA and Milwaukee, WI, the Community Liver Alliance, has grown to have a national presence while still holding true to our mission to invest in local communities and to give a voice to community patients and provider. Our mission is to promote disease awareness, prevention, education, advocacy, and research. Supported by a network of patients, caregivers, health care professionals and community leaders, the organization develops and runs educational workshops, provides expertise and leadership for statewide viral hepatitis elimination plans, conducts screenings, coordinates support groups, facilitates linkage to necessary medical care, provides education for policy makers on issues related to liver health and works with community leaders, health care professionals, interested groups and patients to raise awareness about liver disease.
