SOURMASH Lands A 6th Josie Music Awards Nomination With Entertainer of the Year

LEECHBURG, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Last month, the nominees for the 7th Annual Josie Music Awards were announced. At that time, Western PA rock act Sourmash received 5 nominations in the categories Rock Group of the Year; Rock Song of the Year (Wild Willie); Rock Vocalist of the Year (Tim Henry); and two nominations for Musician of the Year (Nick Farine and Henry). The Josie Music Awards organization has now followed up by announcing nominations for an additional category – Entertainer of the Year in which Sourmash received another nomination – bringing the total to 6 nominations in 5 different categories. The nomination committee for the JMA’s sifted through over 38,000 submissions from around the world to determine these nominees.

 

Held in Pigeon Forge TN September 17 and 18, the Josie Music Awards ceremony will include a red carpet entrance, artist performances, award announcements, songwriter workshops and other activities. The Josie Music Awards remains the largest independent artist award show in the world since its inception in 2015.

 

Sourmash consists of members: Tim Henry (vocalist, guitarist), Nick Farine (guitarist), Matt Knapp (drummer) and Dave Stanoszek (bassist).  The band of nearly eleven years has had several releases including the most recent singles, Wild Willie (August 2020) and Country Girl (January 2021). In the last few years, Sourmash music has found its way across the globe in both film and television; streaming in 79 countries; and nationally on SiriusXM and AMI & TouchTunes jukeboxes.
