AWARD-WINNING PITTSBURGH BOYCHOIR IS BEING REFORMED BY FOUNDER — SEEKS BOYS 9 TO 13 FOR NEW CHOIR

PITTSBURGH, PA, MAY 22, 2024 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The award-winning Pittsburgh Boychoir, founded by J. Scot Franklin in 1986, is being reformed for the summer of 2024 and is seeking boys ages 9 to 13 for membership in the choir. No prior singing experience is necessary, as boys are trained to the highest artistic level with classes in written and aural theory, sightsinging, solfege, diction, and radio/stage/television etiquette! During 12 concert tours, the Pittsburgh Boychoir has toured through 40 states, Canada, and Europe under the direction of choirmaster J. Scot Franklin. Franklin, a former choir boy himself, is the former eastern division chair of the Boychoir Committee for the American Choral Directors Association.

Former members have gone on to careers in music, banking, law, education, medicine, sales, real estate, and business, with many rising into positions such as senior directors and managers, corporate vice presidents, CTOs, COOs, and CEOs!

Interested boys and parents may attend two exploratory practice sessions with the director at no cost to see if they like being in the choir. Boys who wish to proceed may enroll in the boychoir program, which runs from September to May! For information on tuition and other costs, please email realpittsburghboychoir@gmail.com, visit the Pittsburgh Boychoir Facebook page, or visit www.pittsburghboychoir.com. You may also call the choir office at 412-314-SING! (7464).
