SHARPSBURG NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATION NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

SHARPSBURG, PA, April 29, 2024 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization (SNO), a western Pennsylvania nonprofit with a mission to engage residents in local community-driven projects that improve the quality of life, enhance the economic vitality, and ensure the long-term sustainability of new development in Sharpsburg, is proud to announce that  Jodi S. Klebick has been appointed Executive Director.

“We are so pleased to announce this appointment,” says SNO Board President Lauren Bucaro. “Jodi brings additional leadership, energy and creativity to the organization along with a deep sense of commitment to our community. She has served other area non-profits at the program, fundraising, and leadership levels, and has a breadth of perspective and experience.”

A lifelong resident of Allegheny County, Ms. Klebick most recently served for the past decade as the Executive Director for Multiplying Good Pennsylvania, as well as the Public Relations Chair for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Pittsburgh Section where she lead the team that was recognized with the 2023 ASCE National Advocate of the Year award for infrastructure advocacy, and co-authored, “Engineering Pittsburgh: A History of Roads, Rails, Canals, Bridges, and More.”

“It’s an honor to be a part of this historic community and I can’t wait to get started,” remarks Klebick. “I look forward to working with residents, businesses, local government, partners, and funders as the organization enters its next phase of sustainable growth, collaborative action, and equity-focused impact for community wellbeing.”

The board also wishes to thank Sharpsburg Mayor Brittany Reno for serving as founder and Executive Director since 2014. “Brittany has done a tremendous job building the organization, empowering community partners and resident volunteers, and launching Sharpsburg’s EcoDistrict.” notes Bucaro.
