EL POLLON OPENS FIRST RESTAURANT IN PITTSBURGH

PITTSBURGH, PA, April 14, 2023 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Who doesn’t love chicken? Luis and Marisa Neira are bringing their Peruvian charcoal rotisserie chicken to Pittsburgh with El Pollon. Being from Lima, Peru, where one can find rotisserie chicken restaurants on every block, El Pollon is here to bring the tastes of Peru to your palette. A fun fact is this will be the first authentic Pollería to come to Pittsburgh, specializing in charcoal rotisserie chicken.

This will also be El Pollon’s first location in Pittsburgh, with three other Pollerías in West Virginia and a Pollería in Florida.

If you’re wondering when you can try your first bite, El Pollon is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday – Friday 10:30am to 9:00 pm and weekends from 8:00am to 9:00pm.  Not only will you find their rotisserie chicken, but their menu will also be featuring hand-crafted Ceviche on the weekends and several authentic specialty dishes such as, Lomo Saltado and  Bistek a lo Pobre.

El Pollon also is in support of local businesses and sources all of the chickens from a local farm before they are slow-roasted over the charcoal oven rotisserie charcoal oven. The oven is so large it can cook up to 24 chickens at a time!

It was a no-brainer for Luis and Marisa Neira to bring their concept to Pittsburgh. “I had so many customers in West Virginia that kept asking me when I was going to open in Pittsburgh.  When I met with Terri Sokoloff of Specialty Group and her team, we discussed the Bak’n space. Within a few hours, I was in the building and knew right away that I found my next location. The space was the right fit and the neighborhood felt like home.”

Terri Sokoloff also knew once Luis saw the space, that his concept had synergy with the space. “We were excited to be part of the first Pollería concept in the area. Luis and Marisa, being experienced operators with a unique concept, were the best fit for the space,” said Sokoloff.  “With the open kitchen it is really a show to watch the chicken in their massive charcoal oven.”

Go try this unique concept and get your first taste of Peruvian charcoal rotisserie chicken.
