HOLISTIC RESILIENCE IS FOCUS OF UPCOMING ACCELERATING WOMEN IN INDUSTRY BOOT CAMP PRESENTED BY ROWLAND SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AT POINT PARK UNIVERSITY
PITTSBURGH, PA, March 9, 2022, (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Accelerating Women in Industry, a program of the Rowland School of Business at Point Park University, is presenting a Holistic Resilience Boot Camp on Friday, March 11 from 8:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. via Zoom. The program is presented in conjunction with Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation.
Women in Industry (WIN) is a program of the Rowland School of Business aimed at enhancing, educating, and advocating for the success of women-identified students and professionals.
WIN leverages university and community resources to engage leaders, start conversations and encourage partnerships to help elevate experiences and opportunities.
According to Dorene Ciletti, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the sales and marketing program at the Rowland School of Business, “While the Omicron variant may be fading and mask mandates lifting, women are still reeling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This boot camp is aimed at helping attendees boost holistic resilience to challenges, adapt and move through adversity, and develop perspective so they can thrive both personally and professionally.”
In this half-day virtual workshop, attendees will build their personal and professional resilience with engaging, interactive, expert-led sessions, and learn how to boost resilience and Bounce-Up™ not back, develop strategic planning practices that enhance resilience, and build financial resilience.
Workshops include:
Building Financial Confidence & Financial Resilience
featuring Myah Moore Irick
Senior Vice President | The Irick Group | Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.
As women, our financial journey is unique and the steps to building wealth and financial resilience look different. Managing our finances means avoiding preconceived assumptions while gaining a full understanding of who you are as leaders and what impact we want to have for our career, our family, and our community. Instead of allowing our feelings to negatively impact our financial security and stability, we should reframe our mindset to best build financial confidence and understand the tools necessary to be financially resilient. Today is the day to own your financial journey.
Join Myah Moore Irick (founder of the Irick Group) for an interactive discussion. Myah will share financial tips and strategies on how to plan for life’s unexpected adventures, while staying focused on your long-term goals and your personal values. She will also share her own experiences with striving to do well while also doing good–by building her own team, challenging norms in financial services as a woman of color and educating others on impact investing and how to be financial resilient in all aspects of your life.
