THE CEE JAY AWARDS RETURN FOR SEASON TWO: CELEBRATING CREATIVITY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT
PITTSBURGH, PA, August 28, 2025 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Construction Junction is thrilled to announce the return of The Cee Jay Awards, a one-of-a-kind celebration recognizing exceptional reuse projects and the behind-the-scenes heroes who make them possible. Back for its second year, this inspiring awards event will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the historic New Hazlett Theater on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Like the Oscars—with a reuse twist—the Cee Jay Awards will spotlight outstanding projects across multiple categories while honoring the designers, builders, architects, DIYers, and community members who bring new life to salvaged materials.
This year’s awards statue, the “Cee Jay”, pays affectionate homage to Construction Junction’s past fundraising event The Big Pour, which helped build both financial support and community goodwill for reuse initiatives.
Guests will arrive in style on the “thrift carpet,” showcasing creative reuse fashion before entering the stunning Richardson Romanesque architecture of the New Hazlett Theater—originally built in 1889 as the first Carnegie Music Hall and dedicated by President Benjamin Harrison. The evening will feature:
- The Cee Jay Awards Show, honoring excellence in creative reuse
- Networking opportunities and mingling with award winners
- A silent auction with unique prizes
- Drinks, appetizers, and vibrant salvage art displays
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Cee Jay Awards! Community members are encouraged to nominate projects in more than one category by September 15, 2025. Whether you’re a designer, builder, architect, or DIYer—or you know someone who is—this is your chance to shine a spotlight on innovation and sustainability through reuse.
The event also offers sponsorship opportunities for organizations that want to showcase their support for sustainability, circular economy practices, and the creative reuse movement.
