PITTSBURGH, PA, October 5, 2026 (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Some of the country’s most accomplished voices in artificial intelligence, data, medicine, autonomous systems and enterprise technology will converge in Pittsburgh on October 22 for the Agentic Road Show, a full-day examination of what happens as AI systems move from answering questions to making decisions and taking action.

Hosted in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh’s Hub for AI and Data Science Leadership (HAIL), the event brings together an unusually deep roster of technology leaders, researchers and practitioners.

Among the featured participants are Philip Koopman, Professor Emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University and a nationally recognized authority on autonomous vehicle safety; Dr. Mark Brady, former Chief Data Officer of the U.S. Space Force; Dr. Hooman Rashidi, whose work spans AI, medicine and pathology at Pitt, UPMC and CPACE; longtime cloud and AI thought leader David Linthicum; AI visionary Lou Simon, Chief AI Officer of Uptima; and Morgan Templar of FirstCDO.

The program will tackle some of the toughest questions facing organizations today: How safe can autonomous systems really be? What happens when executives delegate decisions to AI? How do companies know their AI is actually governed? What risks arise when questionable external data feeds enterprise AI? And how should industry prepare for increasingly autonomous robots and software agents?

Sessions include Koopman’s Edge Cases for Safety, Brady’s 6 Laws for Safe AI, Rashidi’s AI in Medicine – From Research to Reality; and Generation Skeptical — Addressing the AI Backlash, from Bloor Group CEO Eric Kavanagh. Pitt’s Andy Hannah will examine the dangers of bad external data, while PTC’s Brad Cline will showcase AI-powered product lifecycle innovation for industrial manufacturers.

“We’re bringing together people who have spent their careers dealing with the hard problems: safety, governance, data quality, medicine, national security and enterprise-scale systems. Pittsburgh is exactly the right place to have that conversation,” said Content Director Mark Madsen of Third Nature.

The Agentic Road Show runs from 8:55 AM through 5 pm in the O’Hara Ballroom of the O’Hara Student Center, with keynotes, research presentations, innovation sprints, panels, enterprise case studies and structured networking. A reception will then be held at The Porch, at Schenley Park. For info, call Eric Kavanagh at 512.426.7725. Use code YINZER to get 57% off all tickets!
