The Midwest Women’s & Family Expo comes to Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) –  The many facets that shape the lives of women will be on display this October in the final days of the Pittsburgh ExpoMart.

There has never been a better time to be a woman. No matter how the script reads for the roles you play in the world — wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend — your gifts are many and the possibilities are endless.

“The heart of the event will be a shopping extravaganza with an enormous array of products and services catering to the homes, families and personal lives of women,” explains Dean Taylor, president of Event Experts, the show’s producer.

The 2008 Women’s and Family Expo coming the weekend of October 11 and 12, to the Pittsburgh ExpoMart in Monroeville from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Women from all over Western PA are invited to come celebrate the interests, creativity and desires of being a women. And, because the Women’s & Family Expo is an a venue to furthering the success of businesses, anyone interested in exhibiting in this two-day tribute to girl power is encouraged to get “that thing you do” in front of nearly 5,000 interested ladies.

This extraordinary event, featuring over 150 local and national product and service providers with a focus on women and the families they care for and about.

Exhibitors who showcase their wares will enjoy an intimate locale and easy setup, making the Women’s and Family Expo an ideal venue.

Engaging seminars highlighting categories like: women’s health issues—including cosmetic procedures and overcoming infertility—will run in tandem with others like quick cooking demos, holistic and alternative wellness programs, and exercise tips.

Featuring Jazzercise, resistance training,Pilates and yoga, the Women’s Expo is the place to go to check out all of the latest and greatest fitness offerings. Demonstrations will be held throughout the showroom floor so you can see firsthand how enjoyable these programs can be. “The Women’s Expo is the perfect way to explore various health and wellness techniques all in one place,” Dean adds.

To keep things light throughout the event, a variety of live entertainment will take place throughout the weekend. “We’re inviting dancers, singers, quartets, classical trios and modern music groups to take the stage to give you a sampling of local talent,” Dean says.

Looking to learn some new moves? Dance workshops featuring a number of rhythmic styles will also include a belly-dancing segment. Fast and exciting then slow and alluring, slip on the finger cymbals and feel your inner-self come alive.

The event is all but guaranteed to give you something to talk about when you get home, and the self-defense clinics will feature tips on staying safe until you do.

Of course it wouldn’t be an Expo for women without the latest fashions. Two fashion shows will run, each highlighting different styles of dress. And once you’ve decided on an outfit, shift your attention to home and hearth. If you’ve been considering a change in your home, but can’t bear the thought of trudging off to the local design center, the Women’s and Family Expo includes exhibitors to help you get started on building a new home, or with finding tips and design consultation for sprucing up the one you already have.

Because all of the exhibitors featured at the Expo want you to have a day to remember, exciting giveaways are being planned right now. One of the grand prizes being offered this year will be a winner’s choice from ten different great vacation destinations.
