DOGTOBERFEST – IT’S BACK !!!!
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — DogtoberFEST 2021 will be presented at The Waterfront in Homestead (West Waterfront Drive behind Ulta Beauty Store) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021. This is our Eleventh year as the biggest adoption event in Pittsburgh with an expectation of 2,000-2,500 dog-loving attendees and over 100 shelters, rescues and vendors in attendance. DogtoberFEST is hosted by CARMAA (Coalition to Adopt, Rehome and Match Abandoned Animals) and sponsored by Robinson Animal Hospital, The Waterfront and Pittsburgh PetConnections Magazine. DONATIONS TO EVERY PARTICIPATING RESCUE ORG! *donation amount based on proceeds*
What: DogtoberFEST is a One-Day Adoptathon to raise awareness about adoption and the many types of rescues and shelters in Western PA. This outdoor festival will feature adoptable dogs from shelters and breed-specific rescues (and some cats too!), Specialty Vendors, Live Music by Moosetracks, Ask-A-Trainer and Ask-A-Vet Booths, an Enrichment Trail for you and your dog, Paw Painting with CARMAA, training demos by Daisy’s Dog Training, and grooming demos by Woody’s Dog Wash! Don’t miss the Bake Sale and Snack Food Concession stand by Chef Chaz! Also, onsite vaccine clinic by Fix’N Wag’N!
Our Pooch Pride Parade Costume Contest starting at 11 a.m. with over $500 in prizes available for Most Original, Dog-Owner Lookalike and Best Overall Costumes ($10 entry fee). Adoptable dogs from our area will be available and ready to meet their potential new families! Dogs from the public are welcome to come and meet the adoptable dogs or simply have a day out at The Waterfront. All public dogs must be current on vaccinations and be people and dog friendly (no retractable leashes, please!). Admission is free for the public.
When: Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Raindate: Sunday, October 3; same time and location.
