Pittsburgh Native turned Viral TikTok Star!
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — Joey, a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has earned his first TWO major viral videos on TikTok earlier this week with them both amassing over 500,000 views and 850,000 views respectively, his hashtag #joeyyoung has surpassed over 2.4 Million views, gaining him thousands of followers, and establishing him as “TikTok‘s Homecoming King” with videos from places like the football field of McKeesport High & the famous Grant St in downtown Pittsburgh.
Inspired by Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande, Joey describes his vibe as New age Electro-Synth dance pop music with an R&B undertone. He brilliantly conceptualizes, designs and styles every element of his inimitable art, music videos, live performances, and now multiple viral videos through his TikTok account.
Joey’s two viral videos start as the first for him is his triumphant Homecoming King win in 2019, in a wig, make up, and women’s fitted suit. Making a political statement against the people opposing him because of his flamboyant style and being openly gay. The second of the two, is a video in response to one of the “haters” who commented negatively against Joey, with Joey’s cunning response to the comment stating “Dad must be proud lol” being him sharing a video of his father at The Pittsburgh Pride parade in June 2021, cheering him on from the sidewalk as Joey promoted his newly released single “Scorpio”
