Many children never have the opportunity to see real people from their hometown become professionals in careers such as dancing, broadcast journalism, TV production, print media, and other high-profile arenas. By the co-authors sharing their stories of how they grew up and chased their dreams, they are letting children see that it really is possible to dream big and achieve.
The Dream is in Your Hands is a series of interviews collected by Leigh M. Clark and Kenneth “Pen Ken” Monroe. Both Clark and Monroe have a heart for helping others and had a shared vision of bringing more kindness to the world through collective literary projects that highlight important people making an impact in their communities and the world at large.
The proceeds from this book will help provide $5000 for young people aspiring for greatness through a literary contest for students across the nation. Prizes will be announced at the second annual educational youth conference The Dream is in Your Hands. The conference is a two-day event for youth providing insight, leadership, and resources from national and international professionals.

Clark is best known for her work in kindness.
