(“Return On All Relationships”) Conference & Matchmaker
Minority owned businesses and Corporations convene in Pittsburgh to explore new
business relationships and develop their companies through targeted workshops
PITTSBURGH, PA (PittsburghNewsWire.com) — The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council’s (EMSDC), R.O.A.R. Conference & Matchmaker brings together diverse businesses and corporations for a full day of dynamic speakers, concurrent workshops, the Stellar Awards Luncheon, one-on-one matchmaking meetings, Corporate Roundtable discussions, and endless opportunities to network. R.O.A.R. is coming to Pittsburgh for the first time on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Wyndham Grand in Pittsburgh, PA.
Valarie J. Cofield, president and CEO, EMSDC and Kerry L. Kirkland, Deputy Secretary, Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities, Pennsylvania Department of General Services will kick off the Power Breakfast with welcome remarks. The keynote speech, delivered by Todd Cohen, will motivate the attendees for a productive day and explain how to demonstrate your presence and use it as a powerful silent selling tool. Cohen is the nation’s leading voice on building sales culture and author of “Everyone’s in Sales.”
Attendees can choose from a variety of development workshops including “How the New Tax Plan Impacts You,” “Best Practices in Government Contracting,” “Everyone’s in Sales-Building a Sales Culture,” and other educational workshops.
The Stellar Awards, recognizing the achievements of top minority-owned businesses, dynamic industry leaders and major corporations committed to supplier diversity will highlight the Luncheon. Allegheny Conference CEO, Stefani Pashman, will serve as the speaker.
The afternoon focuses on connections where suppliers alternate between scheduled one-on-one matchmaking appointments and the Corporate Roundtable group discussions hosted by corporations and buying entities from various industries. Community organizations will also be on hand and share resources.
